I have started walking home from the train station after work and while I'm walking, I like to listen to the radio. (Note: I am not an ipod person. I much prefer the radio to listen to what's being talked about and then I also get to hear a variety of songs, rather than downloading and having to select what I want to hear. Basically, I'm just lazy :P)
Anyway, my phone has a radio in it, so I just connect the headphones/headset and listen as I walk. The thing I need to know is...am I only person whose cords get in a terrible knot e.v.e.r.y. time?? Every single day I am unraveling the cord and having to get all the knots out. Grrr... Does anyone know of a way that I can store the headset so that when I pull it out it isn't a fight for 5mins to get the thing long enough to plug in??
PS I have a Nokia 6120 and the cord is like this...

my phone has a radio in it?? I really must read the instruction book sometime soon.
With the headphones .. about about wrapping them around something flat - you know like you would a ribbon ... say a thick piece of card double the size of a business card.
My ipod headphones are always tangled too .. cos I just keep my ipod and my headphones in a sandwich bag in my handbag ... cos I'm slack too.
:)
this comment has been no help at all
so I'll just say HI and move on :)
I was hoping someone might have seen a retractable kind of thing. Maybe I should invent one - could be worth a fortune!!
PS snaps on the phone, so you do have a radio - yay. But it won't work without the headphones attached as the cord is also the antenna :(
PPS wrapping around a card is good idea, but I reckon I would still stuff it up. Hahaha!
There is indeed a retractable ear phone system, I've seen them at computer swap meets, but those are in Melbourne, so I wouldn't know where to tell you to get them in Bris! But I'd thought I'd let you know that they do exist, so you can get sore feet trying to find them!!
Having said that, I just did a google search on retractable headphones and several came up to buy them online, so if your nokia takes standard headphones, you should be able to get some quite easily!! :)

I do wind my headphones up on the iPod but I don't use them all the time cos I plug in my Ipod to the stereo in my car, then they get tangled blah blah blah
